Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem or by his alter ego Slim Shady, has been involved in the world of hip-hop for nearly two decades as far as the mainstream is concerned and even longer if you count his time spent in Detroit’s underground rap scene. Phenomenal, which is a song that appeared on the soundtrack to the box office hit Southpaw is accompanied by a big budget video in which it is very clear to see that Eminem is more than just a rapper, writer, and wordsmith.

In an opening scene that is eerily reminiscent of a Jason Bourne-esque character, Eminem wakes up in a hospital seemingly unfamiliar with his surroundings and realizes he must get out of there stat. When an orderly enters the room he quickly dismantles his foe with a few short but effective maneuvers then glances down at his owns as if to say: “Where the f*#% did that come from!?!”

With 19 credits as an actor and 8 as a producer according to IMDb, it comes as no surprise that Mathers is a multi-faceted personality whose athletic ability is prominently displayed in the music video Phenomenal. In his music videos, he has played a variety of roles and displayed a plethora of different talents and the video shown below is no exception.

Along with his obvious lyrical talent, Eminem’s athletic ability is on full display as he showcases his newfound martial arts skills as well as a few scenes in which it is clear he performs his own stunts. With the popularity of the video below, it is evident that the world is now aware of the multi-faceted talents of Marshall Mathews and one thing is for sure and that is we are definitely impressed with his martial arts skills.
