Kurtis Parisi a local Cranston and Providence Rhode Island former “ICE LIGHT” kickboxing and muay thai champion makes his way to “ASAP Fighting Championships” this Saturday night. This card takes place on August 27th at the beautiful Mohegan Sun and Casino and the Uncas Ballroom. This will be an “All” kickboxing ruled fight. Kurtis will be fighting  Hector Sanchez and these warriors are no strangers with plenty of history to fire this fight up for the fans. Kurtis and Hector were suppose to fight back in 2008 when Kurtis was the “ICE LIGHT” light heavyweight Muay Thai Champion. Although lots of trash talk and heat was started leading up to this match up the fight never materialized when the promotion folded soon after.

Years later at CES MMA 36 back in June 2016 these two fighters would meet after years of back and forth chatter at other local “Combat Sports Events” around the area. The 1st meeting between these two back in 2008 would of been a full kickboxing match. This new challenge would be with CES MMA under MMA rules. This mma fight ended soon in the first round when Kurtis was taken down quickly and recieved a couple sharp elbows that ended the fight with a TKO for Hector.“I’m super excited to get this rematch August 27th as the main event at Mohegan Sun Casino. The first fight we had was MMA rules and it didn’t go my way that night. Finally on August 27th at ASAP FC we are going to rematch and it’s guaranteed to be a stand up battle and kickboxing war.”

Kurtis knows he will shine this fight with his strong technical and natural kickboxing fighting style. Kurtis is very well gifted and has been training and instructing kickboxing and Muay Thai fighters while training himself for many years.“I Started training in martial arts at the age of 10 with “The Kugel Brothers” in Cranston then moved on to Dennis Passeretti After competing in point fighting tournaments. I took a hiatus from the arts for a while. I then returned back in to the arts a time after and trained under George Pesare and fought in amateur kickboxing events. At one event I was approached by Manny Neves and was offered a pro kickboxing bout. One fight turned into another and then in 2008 I won the “ICE LIGHT” heavyweight Muay Thai kicking title”

Kurtis will be in his own element and world come Saturday August 27th when he enters the familiar cage. This is when he will really show Hector and all the East Coast fans that their 1st meeting was a fluke and not a true example of his fighting skills and abilities. Kurtis and Hector headline this amazing show and it will be broadcast live with a live stream on “Go Fight Live” so make sure to tune in if you can’t make it to this Awesome event.
